A scenic trail with views into the valley, passing directly through Říčky. For experienced cyclists with several demanding climbs and a long descent to the Earth Gate.

Rokytnice v O. h. – Hamernice – Říčky – U Anenského vrchu – Hanička fortress – Earth Gate – Klášterec n. Orlicí – Kunvald – Rokytnice v O. h.

Tip for the trip:

At the U Anenského vrchu crossroads, turn off to the summit with a lookout tower offering views of Suchý vrch, Kralický Sněžník, and the Eagle Mountains ridge.

A pleasant loop on asphalt and well-paved forest roads. Around the Hanička fortress, through the settlement of Hadinec to Vysoký Kořen with views into the Divoká Orlice valley.

Route:

Rokytnice v O. h. (Horní Rokytnice) – Hanička fortress – Hadinec – Vysoký Kořen – Neratov – Bartošovice – Rokytnice v O. h.

Tip for the trip:

Visit the Hanička artillery fortress from the 1930s. Refreshments and souvenirs are available on site.

A trail through the foothills of the Eagle Mountains for more experienced cyclists. Asphalt roads alternate with field paths; the Pekelec – Peklo section is only passable on mountain bikes. The trail passes directly through Říčky.

Route:

Litice – Bohousová – Záchlumí – Rybná nad Zdobnicí – Pekelec – Slatina nad Zdobnicí – Pěčín – Říčky v O. h. – Orlické Záhoří.

Říčky v O. h. (27 km, Skirest restaurant).

Tip for the trip:

After 5 km you will reach Rybná nad Orlicí with its renowned art gallery. The collection features early 20th-century paintings (Antonín Slavíček, Jan Slavíček, Vincenc Beneš and others).

A demanding loop for experienced cyclists with an ascent to Šerlich, a crossing to the highest peak of the Eagle Mountains – Velká Deštná, and a descent along the border fortifications to Zdobnice.

Route:

Deštné v O. h. – Šerlich (Masaryk's chalet) – Velká Deštná – Pěticestí – Zdobnice – Luisino údolí – Deštné v O. h.

Refreshments:

Šerlich (5.5 km, Masaryk's chalet), buffet below Velká Deštná (8 km), Zdobnice (23 km, Zdobnice hotel).

Tip for the trip:

Stop at Šerlich settlement by Masaryk's chalet with an accessible lookout tower offering a beautiful view of the surroundings.

Mountain idyll on a demanding trail with an ascent to Polomské saddle and a long descent to Sedloňov in the Zlatý potok valley.

Route:

Deštné v O. h. – Šerlišský mlýn – Polomské saddle – Polomský kopec – Vrchmezí – Sedloňov – Deštné v O. h.

Refreshments:

Šerlišský mlýn (8 km), Sedloňov (17 km, Hrad guesthouse).

Tip for the trip:

The Šerlišský mlýn mountain hotel after 8 km is a popular destination and a crossroads of mountain paths for hikers and cyclists.

A pleasant trail suitable also for families with children in bike trailers. It leads through Dobřany, along the Zlatý potok valley through Kounov and Bystrá, with a closing field path back to Sněžné.

Route:

Sněžné – Dobřany – Zlatý potok valley – Kounov – Bystrá – Janov – Sněžné.

Refreshments:

Kounov (9 km, U Tří lip inn).

Tip for the trip:

Dobřany is famous for its autocross track. Remains of Dobřany castle are visible in the forest below the track. In summer, swimming is possible between Bystrá and Janov.

The trail combines asphalt roads with unpaved paths and leads along both banks of the Pastviny reservoir, through Letohrad back to Žamberk with its castle park.

Route:

Žamberk – Líšnice – Nekoř – Klášterec nad Orlicí – Nekoř – Šedivec – Letohrad – Žamberk.

Letohrad (15 km, Na Zámku hotel).

Tip for the trip:

In Letohrad visit the Museum of Crafts with more than 50 exhibitions of old crafts and trades – one of the largest of its kind in the country.

A short but picturesque trail through the Černý potok valley with forested rocky outcrops. Suitable for a half-day ride in the breathtaking nature of the Earth Gate.

Route:

Klášterec nad Orlicí – Vitanovský kopec – Potoky – Amerika – Klášterec nad Orlicí.

No refreshments along the way – don't forget a snack.

Tip for the trip:

Visit the Earth Gate nature reserve with an educational trail (2.5 km) and 10 panels introducing the flora, fauna and history of the area.
